Biography:

David Taniar first joined Monash University in 1997 as a lecturer at the Gippsland School of Computing and Information Technology. After a short stay at the Department of Computer Science, RMIT University during 1999-2000, he joined the School of Business Systems in the beginning of 2001 as a Senior Lecturer. He had also previously taught computing at Swinburne University in 1991-1996.

Dr. Taniar has also held a number of technical positions in industry, where he was involved in building applications for banks and major industrial companies.

Dr. Taniar holds Bachelors (Honours), Masters, and PhD degrees - all in Computer Science and Information Technology. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

He has been or is currently serving as a Program Committee Member in a number of Parallel/Distributed/HPC conferences, including ICPADS, PDCS, HPCNEurope, HPCAsia, PDPTA, PDCAT, and others.
