How to apply for a Masters Honours degree

Students currently enrolled in a Faculty of IT Masters degree who are seeking a course transfer to a Masters (Honours) course, must apply via the "Course Transfer" process.  See "How to apply for a Course Transfer".

Masters Honours applications

Step 1 - Apply online or by mail

Online applications are now being accepted by the Faculty of IT. The step-by-step instructions on completing and submitting an Online Application are now available.

If you prefer not to apply online, you can download a hard copy (paper) application form. Please read and follow the instructions on the form.

Step 2 - Gather supporting documents

Make sure you provide us with certified copies of the following documents:

          Nominate one of the research areas listed under one of the FIT research centres,
          or
         
Nominate one of the specialisations listed in the handbook entry

          For Master of Business Information Systems (Honours)

          
Nominate one of the research areas listed under one of the FIT research centres
          or
          Nominate one of the specialisations listed in the handbook entry

The course application cannot be processed if a research area has not been nominated and included with the application.

Please note that supporting documentation will not be returned.

Please also submit any supporting application forms, if required, such as an application for Credit /Advanced Standing.

Step 3.1 - Upload your certified copies of documents via the online application

Ensure that you mail the original certified copies to:

Step 3.2 - If submitting a hard-copy application, forward both the application and original certified copies of supporting documents to the postal address on the application form:

Step 4 - Wait for the letter of offer

Successful applicants will be sent a letter of offer, along with other important information. You can accept, refuse, or defer your offer letter.

Step 5 - Accept your offer (enrol)

In order to accept your offer you must attend the Enrolment Day at your home campus. See the enrolment information for further details.
