Course Transfer - For current domestic and international Monash University students ONLY

Semester 1, 2012 application closing dates for on-campus course transfers:

Timely - Friday, 25th November, 2011 
Late - Friday, 24th February, 2012

Students submitting a course transfer must remain enrolled (and re-enrol when required) in your current course to ensure a place with the University.   

 

If you are interested in transferring from your current Undergraduate or Postgraduate Monash University course, please refer to the following steps:

Step 1 - Choose your course

Choose an IT course which suits your interests to transfer into.

Step 2 - Check entry requirements

Check the entry requirements and Undergraduate or Postgraduate course transfer selection criteria to see if you are eligible.

Step 3 - Applying

Domestic and International students are to complete the Transfer Course form which can be attained from the student services centre application forms page. Please do not apply via the online application process.

Note: Students applying for the Master of Information Technology (Honours) or Master of Business Information Systems (Honours) must provide with their application to transfer one of the following:

For Master of Information Technology (Honours):
(a) Nominate one of the specialisations listed in the Master of Information Technology Honours or,
(b) Nominate one of the FIT research centres

For Master of Business Information Systems (Honours):
(a) Nominate one of the specialisations listed in the Master of Business Information Systems Honours or,
(b) Nominate one of the FIT research centres

Your application cannot be assessed without this vital information.

Step 4 - Where to submit

 Transfer Course forms can be submitted to the Faculty Admissions Office by mail or personally at the Berwick, Caulfield or Clayton School of Information Technology.

Students transferring to another campus or to another major, but remaining in the same course can re-enrol as normal.  Any further unit enrolment changes necessary can be made after moving campuses.

Step 5 - Assessment of your application

Successful applicants will be sent a letter of offer, along with other important information. You can accept and take up the offer or refuse your offer.  International students are required to reply to their email offer via return email prior to attending an enrolment session.

Step 6 - Accepting your offer

If your application is successful, you will be required to attend a compulsory enrolment session to complete the transfer and enrolment process.  Please refer to your offer letter for enrolment sessions further details.
