Industry Based Learning

Our Industry Based Learning (IBL) program partners Monash University with leading global and Australian organisations to offer students outstanding placement opportunities and scholarships valued up to $34,000.

This cooperative education program gives students the opportunity to unleash the skills they’ve learned in the classroom in the corporate world.

Since 1988, we have offered placements across our undergraduate programs at the Caulfield and Clayton campuses.

Due to Australian government regulations, IBL is currently only available to Australian citizens and permanent residents.

The IBL Entry Scholarship application form will be available here from early August 2013.

The IBL advantage

During their industry placements, students gain invaluable professional and business experience – giving them a competitive edge in the employment market. Our IBL students consistently graduate to exciting, well-paid and prestigious positions.

Students on each 22-week placement receive a $15,000 scholarship. Their industry work is assessed and credited towards their degree.

IBL students also participate in a number of industry-assisted activities, such as:

• field trips to partner companies in first year
• an industry seminar series in second year
• a career start program in third year
• access to an exclusive graduate recruitment program.
