Information Technology Industry Experience Projects
A cornerstone of most Faculty of IT bachelor degrees is a final-year Industry Experience (IE) project, which involves developing a working system for an external client. While the IE students do not get paid by the client, they have the opportunity to practice the skills learned throughout the degree in a real world setting.
The IE projects usually run over two consecutive semesters, during which students must complete all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation and documentation, as well as follow project management and quality assurance techniques. Students' work and progress are overseen by an academic supervisor.
The following bachelor degrees offer Industry Experience (IE) projects. For more information about the requirements of individual IE projects, as well as a list of past projects visit the relevant project's website.
* Please note that an IE project may need to be undertaken in parallel with other units to make up the required unit load.
